It may seem like a hassle to have to measure your dog, but we believe you will find the advantages of custom dog clothing well worth the effort. Dogs, just like people, are all shaped differently, even amongst members of the same breed. Some are thinner, others more muscular, some broader or deeper in the chest, and some wider in the shoulders. Purchasing clothes simply by one measurement alone (be it Girth, Neck or Length) or weight doesn't always guarantee a good fit. It only takes a few minutes to measure your dog and the chances of the garment not fitting him or her are far less, meaning less risk of your money being wasted.
Ordering custom clothing is not as complicated as it may seem at first. Many of our custom dog clothes can be ordered with just 4 basic measurements. These are the Partial Bodice garments which are like most dog clothing seen in the market. Partial Bodice garments do not have a complete bodice that covers the torso like that of human clothing, but instead have neck and girth straps that close with Velcro behind the front legs and across the front of the chest (below the throat). Partial Bodice garments are ideal for customers who do not have or wish to spend extra time to take many measurements.
Our Full Bodice dog dresses, coats and costumes are what set us apart from other dog clothing designers. This type of garment more resembles human clothing with a full front and, with the exception of a few sleeve-less designs, either short or long sleeves. These are more elaborate designs which are highly tailored to fit your dog. Each product listing contains information on the various measurements needed in order for us to make that garment fit your dog as accurately as possible and we cannot make these types of complex designs for you without the required measurements.
