The recent 4^th of July tragedy in Iowa (in which two horses harnessed to a wagon got out of control after one horse rubbed the bridle off the other) is a shocking reminder that things may go wrong even when horses have experienced handlers and equipment in good order. While that particular catastrophe may have been unforeseeable, many horse related accidents can be avoided by sensible planning and attention to your horse, tack, and costumes.

Just to give you an idea of things to expect from Franga Designs in the near future, here are a few things we are currently working on.

• Saddles for Dogs

  Dress your dog up as a cowhorse, Medieval knight’s steed or English style mount this Halloween! Due to our experience with both dogs and horses, our costume saddles for dogs are genuine miniature replicas of the real thing. Expect to see the first saddles available for sale in our store within a week!

• Horse Barding for Dogs

  To accompany the Medieval saddle for dogs and your child’s knight costume, we are also working on Medieval style horse barding (worn by horses used in jousting or historical battles) for dogs.

• Tiaras for Horses and Ponies

  For princess, princess and fantastical dress-up, we are working on a line of tiaras for horses and ponies with Swarovski Crystals and pearls. The development is in its early stages and it may be a few months before they are ready for sale.
